Satisfy opened its first permanent location in Paris’ Marais district, occupying two adjacent shopfronts on Rue de Saintonge. The French running brand partnered with Montreuil studio Ciguë, known for materially honest retail projects, to create a dual-space concept.

The development splits into Supply at 47 Rue de Saintonge, which showcases the full apparel and footwear line, and Fuel Station at number 54 opposite, a hybrid café, convenience outlet and refueling point for runners.

Both venues act as mirror images; large windows allow visitors in one space to look directly into the other, making the street itself part of the experience.

Ciguë treated the commission as a complete environment rather than a simple fit-out, designing architecture, custom artwork, furniture and display systems in tandem.

At the heart of Supply hangs a three-part oil painting by New York artist Othelo Gervacio, inspired by natural-history dioramas and the visual language of the American West. Surrounding the work are Douglas fir, wool felt, hand-cast zamak pieces, concrete, wire mesh and stainless steel, creating a restrained palette that favors texture over polish. Original wall scars remain under a soft grey wash, and exposed piping is left visible.

Paris furniture maker Jean-Baptiste Durand contributed a bespoke lounge chair assembled from familiar chair archetypes, while Ciguë supplied its own cast-zamak tables and hooks, continuing the studio’s exploration of metal’s unpredictable qualities.

Fuel Station features a utilitarian aesthetic with steel shelving, cardboard boxes and wire-mesh displays, borrowing visual cues from hardware stores as well as cafés.
